Word to Ya Mutha...

My sister, friends, and I went out to the MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice concert Friday night. It was defiantly an evening to remember. We can’t possibly answer the inevitable “why” question, but here’s how it went down: Hammer brought 24 dancers and a full choir; Ice brought … himself as far as we could tell. It was the pair’s first show together since the early 1990s, when both were whole-scale radio stars.

Long gone are the days when Vanilla Ice would have girls swooning at his feet with his sleek ‘do and “Ice Ice Baby,” or when MC Hammer would set the house on fire with his “U Can’t Touch This.” That much they proved at their concert Friday night.

This concert was by far the worst concert I have ever been to! It is not hard to understand why their careers failed. The concert was slow and almost painful to endure. My sister, friends, and I agree the most fun was dressing up 80s style and going out for drinks and having others stare at our outrageous looks. I hope to be back in my 80s gear soon, but this time it will be to go dancing with friends!!!
